Celebrant, officiant, conference speaker, former sheriff's chaplain, businessman, and Seattle native. I love a God of grace; I stand for the national anthem; I love our military and first responders; and I love people of all persuasions who have a love for those they've lost.
Out of the box: that's how I help you celebrate life.
I'm bald. That means I'm the first one in an outdoor crowd to know if it's raining. I also know that every life is a complicated mix of joys and sorrows, victories and disappointments, and laughter and tears; into each life rain does fall. Let me meet with you and yours and learn about what made your person uniquely them. Then we'll craft that into a positive, healing experience.
Celebrating a life is a good and a right thing to do. Life, no matter how brief or how long, is to be cherished while it's lived and celebrated when it's remembered. I'll get the story, I'll work with the key players, I'll engage with your guests and together we'll brag up the life of our "guest of honor." Contact me and let's see if we'll be a good match.
Chaplain Dale, a Seattle native, celebrates lives throughout the Puget Sound region. And, he does it with passion and humor.
He is an experienced pastor (but isn't preachy), the former chaplain for the King County Sheriff and the Shoreline Fire Dept. and works in and with the funeral, wedding and event industries. He takes his hat off for the National Anthem and loves our military, law enforcement and fire/EMS.
Dale's interests include early Alaska aviation history, vintage British motorcycles, and three-day trips to anywhere. He and his wife Wendy live in Monroe where Wendy operates her wedding and event rental business.
Dale is a past chairman of the Bothell Kenmore Chamber of Commerce, a charity auctioneer, and a "star" in a Tim Hunter music video.
A professional member of the National Speakers Association, and on the board of its Northwest Chapter.
Chaplain Dale has led in-person funeral audiences from under five to as large as 3500. His favorite movies are Blues Brothers, Strange Brew and anything with Tom Selleck; he enjoys classic rock, gospel and Dean Martin and knows all the words to every Neil Diamond song.
Dale compassionately brings a positive approach to each service, including an appropriate smile and humor.
And he's funny.
Dale was schooled at Fuller Theological Seminary (and, previously, Seattle Pacific University and Grace Christian University), holding two masters degrees.
